Philippe Pallafray est membre de la Société des sculpteurs canadiens. Ses oeuvres font partie de collections publiques (Wellington Heritage Muséum Ontario, Royal Botanical Garden Ontario, Club de gold de Saint-Georges en beauce, Parc Veilleux Québec) et privées au Canada, aux États-Unis, au Sri-Lanka, Hong-Kong, Corée du sud et en France. D’origine française, il a immigré au Québec en 2006. Il vit aujourd'hui à l'île d'Orléans avec sa famille. Il expose régulièrement son travail au Canada et aux États-Unis.  

L'artiste utilise le métal qu'il soude, pour créer des formes géométriques et courbes, entre abstraction et figuration. Chez l'artiste, la réalisation d'une oeuvre tend à une recherche constante de la mentalisation de l'espace, de son organisation entre les vides et les pleins et de la réflexion de la lumière sur le métal.

Bio

Philippe Pallafray is a member of the Sculptors Society of Canada. Born in France, he emigrated to Canada 15 years ago and currently lives on Ile d’Orléans, Québec. He uses steel and stainless steel that he cuts, shapes, folds, and welds. Pallafray likes to use geometric and curved forms in his sculptures to tame and play with light.
His sculptures have been exhibited in Canada and the United States, both as part of group and solo exhibitions. They are also part of public ( Wellington Heritage Museum Ontario, Royal Botanical Garden Ontario, Golf de Saint-Georges de Beauce, Parc Veilleux Québec) and private collections in Canada, France, Sri-Lanka, Hong-kong, South Korea and the United States.
